Robin Putnam, special projects manager with the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs, and Nancy Cahalen, president and CEO of Central New England Better Business, will discuss what to be aware of and how to best protect oneself and loved ones from falling victim to fraudsters.
Visiting the Eastern National Parks will be offered at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 22. Participants will join Steve Farras for a virtual visit to eastern U.S. national parks including Acadia, Biscayne, Congaree, Cuyahoga Valley, the Everglades, Great Smoking Mountains, Mammoth Cave and Shenandoah and learn about their history.
Creating Herbal Remedies to Fight Colds and Flu will be offered at 2 p.m. Nov. 4. Participants will learn to craft their own herbal survival kit with Ehris Urban and Velya Jancz-Urban of Grounded Goodwife to be prepared for winter. The course will handle how to make three natural, DIY remedies for catching a winter sickness, including hand sanitizer, a roll-on and herbal vapor rub.
